Have you been?  If the answer is yes, you're excited to get back, if the answer is no, certainly you've been wanting to go!  

Join Jessica Willis and Brian Peoples at Cocoon from September 10th–17th.  Mid-September is the ideal time to be in southern Portugal. The weather is deliciously warm, days are still lazy and long, and the water draws the sun's rays to heat it. There'll be day trips to explore the treasures of the Alentejo region and ample down time to enjoy the farm, fresh water lake, property and of course yoga.  

 
 
 
 

Jessica and Brian are highly trained and talented teachers pulling from a range of yogic traditions. You'll benefit from the playfulness of their toolkit with vinyasa, Katonah, Yin, Restorative, and you might even brush up on your Salsa dancing!

A Typical Day at Cocoon

9a–10:30a Yoga + Meditation 
Jump in the lake before breakfast (recommended)

Noon - head to local beach

5–6p Session two of yoga/meditation

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in time on Saturday the 10th is anytime after 3pm.  Ideally between 3p and 5p.  Dinner will be the first meal served on the 10th.  

Check-out time on Saturday the 17th is 10am. We'll practice and have breakfast on the 17th.  Comporta is a popular beach town to hit on the way back to Lisbon, plan lunch at Comporta Cafe (make reservations) and another dip in the ocean.

Jessica Willis

Jess is a senior Katonah Yoga teacher who has been teaching yoga for 12 years. She's a lifelong learner whose interests revolve around becoming the highest version of oneself. Yoga and mindfulness offer a kinesthetic and imaginative path to uncover, recover, discover, and expand your potential. As she does that for herself, she aims to guide and encourage her students on their journey. Her influences are Nature, beauty, connection, and healing the places that need to be mended in order to be fully integrated with oneself; Past, Present, and Future.

Brian Peoples

Brian is compelled to share yoga practice as a means to living life more fully, simply, sensibly and embodied. Encouraging students to become curious, deliberate and playful in their choice making; his lessons illustrate how to recognize form for its function and understand natures implicit pattern as found in the body. Through sound adjustments in joint space, breath work and metaphor; each practitioner can develop their awareness to better refine, relate, re-pair, attune and achieve more harmony in how they conduct themselves and the energy around them. He has been a guest teacher at the United Nations, and annually headlines workshops, retreats, festivals and training programs, both in the U.S. and internationally. He lives in New York City.

Cancellation Policy

For cancellation requests submitted with more than 60 days of retreat date: 100% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. For cancellation requests submitted within 30 days of retreat date, 50% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. Cancellation requests within 14 days of the retreat: sorry but no refunds given, no exceptions. Nobody books a retreat with the intention of canceling it, but unexpected events do occur, so please consider purchasing travel insurance. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, including weather, injury/illness, or personal emergencies. No refunds or credits will be granted for failure to attend, complete or for arriving late or leaving early.
